Stephane Jacques and Pornthep Booncham believed when they first opened Lemongrass Thai Restaurant in 2002 near Lamcy Plaza, that there was a demand for authentic Thai food in the region. Back in the days, Thai food was already very popular but hardly available. They wanted to bring to the UAE the Thai experience they were both passionate about, while adapting it in a modern environment with a high quality of service at a reasonable price.
Lemongrass Thai Restaurant is one of the first restaurants in the UAE offering fresh authentic Thai cuisine in the casual dining segment. All our dishes are prepared by Thai chefs using quality ingredients sourced in Thailand that reflect our passion for food and Thailand.
The authenticity of our cuisine can be traced back to the attention to detail that Stephane and Pornthep share for ensuring that each dish is savoured for its original flavour and does not emit a generic bottle taste. Lemongrass Thai Restaurant is one of the only Thai restaurants in Dubai that does not artificially enhance any of their dishes.
We want to bring the authentic taste of Thailand to the UAE and in order to achieve that we pay a lot of attention to the quality of all our products. We exclusively source our Thai ingredients from Thailand, while working with local quality suppliers for our vegetables, meats and seafood. We also truly believe that it is important to provide our customers with regular new dishes, we call Chef Recommend, that enables our customers to savor new tastes while keeping our full menu available.
